Privacy Policy — "Even Better"

"Even Better" is a small, personal tool for adding light, gratitude and joy to every day. We respect your privacy and collect as little data as possible. Everything you write is stored on your device only — we do not keep your personal data on our servers. This document explains, simply, what happens with your information.

What is collected and why

• Data on your device: All the light you gather (gratitude, miracles, good points, feelings) and your preferences (language, day/night mode, text size, name) are stored locally on your device only. We cannot see them and do not store them on our servers.
• Backup to your own cloud (optional): You can save a copy of your data as a file — to your own Google Drive or anywhere you choose. That file is entirely under your control; it does not pass through us.
• Reminders (optional): If you enable a daily reminder, a device notification token is stored along with your chosen time and language, in order to send you the reminder. Turning the reminder off removes it.
• Feedback: If you choose to send us feedback, it opens in your email app and is sent directly to us by email — it is not stored in our system.

What we do NOT do

• We do not store your journal / personal data on our servers.
• No accounts and no collection of email addresses for sign-in.
• No ads.
• No tracking, no behavioral analytics, no third-party tracking cookies.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
• We do not collect location, contacts, or photos.

Service providers

We rely on Google Firebase only for hosting the site and for sending reminders (Cloud Messaging). Google processes the notification token on our behalf, subject to Google's privacy policy.

Data retention & deletion

Your on-device data is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data. The notification token is removed when you turn the reminder off. Any backup file you create is under your control alone, and you can delete it anytime.

Children

The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13.

Security

Because your personal data is stored on your device and not with us, control over it stays in your hands. That said, no service is 100% secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated date will appear at the top of the page.
